there is the aspect of art which is simply making models of things which exist in the world. A subset of this is making models that are [[mechanically accurate]] (meaning they have the same function as the actual thing, rather than just looking the same. an example of this would be the slushy machine that i got for my barbie dolls at one point. I liked how the [machine worked][1]

but i didn’t like how the [[doubleness]] of the flavor was constructed simply through paint, rather than by (an impressive accurate means of representation, such as two discrete parts that had somehow been.) (see: [[when is mechanical accuracy beneficial, and when is it counterproductive or simply excessive?]])
